My Sister: My Little Angel

Hello Reader,

My name is Zeenat and I am here to tell my side of the story.

“God sent me an angel when he gave me you as a sister.” — Catherine Pulsifer

In my case, this quote is so relatable! I cannot imagine my life without Rozmin. She is my little angel. I still remember I was not thrilled when my mom gave birth to a baby girl. I was so angry and promised myself that I would never connect with this girl because I already had one sister, and I was hoping for a baby brother. But destiny had different plans. As she grew older, I began to see the beauty of her spirit. With every passing day, I loved a little more. Soon, she became my little angel, and I loved her more than words could convey.

Despite our 14-year age gap, Roz and I have a unique and precious bond. We are not only sisters but also mentors, friends, and confidantes. The threads of our souls are intertwined. We are the yin and the yang, the light and the dark. We are the tapestry of life. We may not have shared the same childhood experiences, but we have a deep understanding and love for each other.

We have a special bond that transcends time and space. We are connected on a level that I cannot fully explain. We know each other’s thoughts without speaking, and we can feel each other’s pain from miles away.

She is the only person in the world with whom I can be myself. I can share my deepest thoughts and feelings without judgment. She is my safe space, my sanctuary. We love to talk about everything, from our hopes and dreams to our everyday struggles. We laugh together, we cry together, and we always support each other. She is the person I turn to when I need someone to listen. She is the person who knows me better than anyone else in the world.

Here is a short poem I wrote about my sister:

My sister

My sister, my angel, my friend,

You are the other half of my end.

You know me better than anyone else,

And you love me more than wealth.

I can be myself with you,

And you always see me through.

You are my confidante, my rock,

And I love you more than words can unlock.

Thank you for being my sister,

You are the best gift life could ever give.

The love of a sister is a blessing to be cherished. It is a source of strength, comfort, and joy. I am fortunate enough to have you as my little sister. A shoutout to all the sisters who cherish that connection. And Roz, I want to say – “I love you 3000!” actually, more than that.
