I’ve always yearned to have my own little niche in the vast expanse of the internet, a place where I could pour out my musings and experiences, a safe haven for my overflowing mind. You see, I have a lot to say!
A few years back, fresh out of college and carrying the unfortunate tag of an “unplaced” engineer, I found myself with an abundance of time and a scarcity of employment. To combat the boredom, I toyed with the idea of starting a blog, a hobby to fill the void. However, life, as it often does, threw a few curveballs my way, and my blogging aspirations were temporarily shelved. But here I am, dusting off those dreams and giving it another shot.
One fateful day, my sister Zeenat, or Zee as I fondly call her, and I had a conversation, our minds sparked the idea of a collaborative blog, a fresh approach to sharing our stories. It was a mere flicker of an idea back then, lost amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.
Then, last month, destiny intervened, throwing a wrench into my carefully constructed plans. I was laid off from my job, the first company I had ever worked for. The news hit me like a ton of bricks, leaving me devastated and utterly demotivated. I felt adrift, lost in a vast ocean without a compass or a destination.
After a few days of zombie-like existence, Zee, my ever-supportive sister, decided to intervene. She pulled me out of my dark shell, engaging me in long, heartfelt conversations, where tears flowed freely. Unlike others who urged me to update my resume and start the job hunt, she offered a different perspective. She reminded me of my long-held blogging aspirations and encouraged me to give it a try. After all, we have to just keep swimming, right? So, with a renewed sense of purpose, I decided to dive into the world of blogging, this time with a sibling twist.
